Behavior Consultations

Behavior consultations are normally done in the home of the handler/dog.  If the behavior is happening in the home, the best place to work with it is in the home.  We start out by teaching you how to restructure your relationship with your dog for success.  In the first session we would do an in depth behavior session and go over all behaviors that are of concern to the handler.  We would then show what needs to be done to redirect these unwanted behaviors to a behavior that is acceptable.  The first session normally take 2 to 3 hours.  We work from the Pyramid of Learning foundation in order to create a better understanding of the handler dog relationship. 

If the handler follows our instruction and works with the dog consistently in the way in which they were taught, we only have to do one to two short follow up sessions.

Phone consultations are set up as scheduling allows.  You will be mailed a form to fill out about what needs to be discussed during the consultation and a history form.  Both will need to be sent back before the consultation can be scheduled.
